In its February report, the Commission judges that in the absence of new draconian measures to reduce GHG emissions, Quebec&#8217;s legal objective will not be reached.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In its February <a href=\"http:\/\/consultationenergie.gouv.qc.ca\/pdf\/Rapport-consultation-energie.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Report<\/a> (page 20), the <a href=\"http:\/\/consultationenergie.gouv.qc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Commission<\/a> judges that in the absence of new draconian measures to reduce GHG emissions, Quebec&#8217;s legal objective will not be reached. GHG emissions resulting from the energy sector alone represent 75% of Quebec&#8217;s total emissions and are increasing. At best, the Commission estimates a reduction of its GHG emissions of 15% by 2025.
