About Martin
Martin Clermont, founder and CEO of Will Solutions, has dedicated his career to making climate action accessible and local. Since the company’s inception in 1998, Martin has persevered despite limited resources, overseeing greenhouse gas reduction projects and accumulating carbon credits. His vision took off in 2019, thanks to the impetus of TSVCM and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), enabling Will Solutions to achieve its first significant sales and multiply its turnover ninefold in two years.
With over 35 years of experience, Martin has led innovative projects in the sustainable development sector in Canada and internationally, collaborating with the Secretariat of the Basel Convention and UNEP, and intervening in some twenty countries. His expertise extends to implementing audit methodologies, national hazardous waste inventories and formulating policies for environmentally sound waste management.
Involved in carbon markets since 2007, Martin has developed a unique methodology for aggregating GHG emission reductions from small emitters, validated by the VCS program. He was behind the first project to be validated and verified in Quebec, marking a world first in the field.
Martin Clermont is an engineer with two bachelor’s degrees from the École de technologie supérieure and a master’s degree in Environmental Science from the Université du Québec à Montréal. His determination and vision continue to inspire and guide Will Solutions to new heights in the fight against climate change.
About Anne-Marie
Accustomed to a multidisciplinary environment, Anne-Marie Gendron is a manager with 15 years of leadership and organizational development experience in fast growing SMEs.
About Michel
Michel Dessureault has over 45 years of professional experience in management and accounting. From 2005 to 2010, he was General Manager of Entreprises Techniflex inc. and Controller of Corporation Inno center du Québec from 2003 to 2005. From 1984 to 2005, he held several management positions at Strongo inc. From 2013 to the present, he has also been CFO of the Pinegrove and Vallée du Richelieu golf clubs.
Michel began his career as an auditor for the following companies: Moquin, Ménard, Giroux & Associées; Besner, Gally, Shapiro, Kreisman & Company and Coopers & Lybrand. Michel holds a Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University, as well as a Bachelor of Accounting degree, also from McGill University.
About Jean-François
Jean-François Léonard holds a PhD in Political Science and was full Professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal from 1975 to 2005.
As an environmental policy specialist, he was Director of the Institute of Environmental Sciences (ISE), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Environmental Industries Development Cluster, and Coordinator of the Environment Department at the Montreal Metropolitan Community from 2005 to 2008.
His in-depth knowledge of the climate challenges and environmental policies makes him a key member of our management team.
About Hugo
Hugo Bray holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Administration – Accounting concentration from the University of Sherbrooke, as well as a public accounting license from the CPA order.
He has more than 15 years of experience in professional practices as a public accountant. He has provided consulting services to accounting firms, including several years with Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, serving mainly small and medium-sized businesses in their growth, in various sectors.
Subsequently, Hugo participated in the rapid growth of a major law firm offering legal services in the greater Montreal area, as Director of Finance for several years.
As a passionate numbers person, Hugo recently joined the Will Solutions team to help the organization reach new heights.
About Normand
Normand Hétu has more than twenty years as an advisor in M&A and corporate financing. Throughout his career, Normand has developed strong abilities in perceiving stakes and opportunities facing organizations. He brings a strategic vision encompassing all stakeholders’ considerations. His education and experience are most beneficial in mandates requiring strong expertise in strategic vision, strategy implementation and organizational development.
Academically, Normand holds an MSc in strategic management from the University of Montreal, School of Business (HEC) and a BAA in administration from UQAM.
